The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena – Installation:
1) Extract the rar's with WinRAR, 7-Zip, or WinACE (right-click the first file and select "Extract here")
_____These rar's have 10% recovery built in!
_____If you get "CRC failed in file name. The file is corrupt"! error, use repair command:
_____Open Winrar from the Start Menu. Navigate to and select the damaged file. Click "Repair" on the toolbar
2) Mount or Burn the iso.
3) Install game, then
4) Start the game, enter the CD-key (which will fail, but thats OK), then cancel after getting "Invalid key" mssg
_____This step might seem pointless, but it does serve a function: it generates a folder named "Tages"
5) Apply Official v1.01 Patch (included)
6) Copy "Vca.bin" and "Serial.txt" (included) to the directory indicated in the included readme file (depends on your system):
_____"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Tages\100663362"
_____OR
_____"C:\Program Data\Tages"
7) Copy Patch-fix (patch.exe included) to the folder:
_____"C:\ProgramFiles\Atari\TheChroniclesofRiddick-AssaultonDarkAthena\System\Win32_x86\"
_____Run patch.exe from INSIDE the Win32_x86 folder
8) Enjoy!
If you can't locate the "Tages" folder, you can generate one by attempting to activate the game by entering the serial key (which will fail, but that doesn't matter)
Still can't find the "Tages" folder?
Click Start > Control Panel (classic) > Folder Options > View
look in the "Advanced settings:"
check the radial button for "Show hidden files and folders"
click APPLY, OK.
The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena – Cheats:
Press [ctrl] [alt] [~] simultaneously to summon the console
Then type one of the following commands:
cmd(godmode) = toggles invincibility, infinte ammo
cmd(noclip) = toggles fly through walls
cmd(kill) = suicide
cmd(selfsummon) = spawn another Riddick
(cyclecamera) = switches between 1st and 3rd person camera view
The Microsoft Virtual Drive tool (included) has some issues when trying to mount an ISO thats in a folder (or a supra-folder) with a long name, like this game's.
If you encounter any difficulties mounting with this tool, rename the folder containing the ISO, and all folders in the path to the ISO, to a shorter name.
The folder "The Chronicles of Riddick - Assault On Dark Athena" is too long for this tool to work.
Rename that folder to "Riddick Assault On Dark Athena" and you won't have any problems.
